Adding to Iheanacho’s woes, Sevilla—seven-time Europa League champions—are reportedly in advanced talks to sign his compatriot Akor Adams, formerly of AC Milan, to bolster their forward line.

What Does This Mean for Iheanacho?
Iheanacho’s position at Sevilla is becoming increasingly uncertain. A loan move away from the club has been touted as the most likely option, particularly with Adams’ potential arrival threatening to push the Super Eagles attacker further down the pecking order.
Pimienta has alternated between a 4-3-3 and a 4-2-3-1 system, often deploying Iheanacho or Isaac Romero as the central striker. Should Adams join, Iheanacho’s chances for regular game time may diminish, making a departure the most logical step to revive his career.
