Galatasaray President, Dursun Özbek, has revealed he’s unfazed about Osimhen’s future, hinting the decision lies with the Super Eagles forward, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 25-year-old striker joined the Cimbom Aslan on loan from Napoli in September and has gone on to score nine goals and provide four assists in thirteen games for Galatasaray, helping them to the top of the Super Lïg.
His top form has sparked interest from other European clubs, but he’s revealed he won’t be leaving the club during the winter Transfer window. While Galatasaray are also keen on retaining Osimhen’s services permanently, Özbek revealed the final decision ultimately lies with the former LOSC Lille striker.
“Victor Osimhen came like a 100-year-old to Galatasaray and is adapting. If you see his attitude in Florya. I think we also had a part to play there and I am very happy.
Those who cannot adapt to this atmosphere cannot stay in Galatasaray anyway. He is our player this season. There is a very difficult clause for him to leave during the mid-season break. According to our agreement, he will play for us until the end of the season.
No one should bend it. He will make his own decision at the end of the season,” the 75-year-old said in quotes revealed by Turkish outlet, Sporskor.
Galatasaray are currently top of the Turkish Super Lïg, and are currently on course to qualify for the elimination stage of the UEFA Europa League.
