Galatasaray plotting ₦90 billion bid for Victor Osimhen

Victor Osimhen has been impressive since he moved to Galatasaray in the summer, and they are looking to break the bank for him

Turkish Super Lig champions are planning to offer Napoli €50 million (₦90 billion) for the services of Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, Soccernet.ng reports.

Osimhen arrived at Galatasaray during the summer transfer window, after he failed to get a move to a big club and was alienated from Napoli.

Since his move, the 25-year-old striker has become the poster boy for Galatasaray. Osimhen has seamlessly adjusted to life in Turkey as he has contributed four goals and four assists in seven appearances. The Super Eagles star has also become a fan favorite.

However, the romance could end soon, as Osimhen only signed a contract that will keep him in Istanbul until the end of the season. But Galatasaray are already making moves to keep him for a while longer.

According to Turkish news outlet Fanatik, Galatasaray are planning to offer Napoli €50 million for Osimhen’s services.

If Galatasaray can pull the deal off, it would be the greatest transfer in Turkish Super Lig history. But realistically, Napoli would not accept €50 million for a player they acquired for over €70 million.

Also, it could have huge financial implications for the Turkish champions as they would have to offload some of their star players to avoid breaking the financial fair-play rules.
