What Odion Ighalo said about Victor Osimhen’s transfer to Galatasaray

Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo has expressed his elation with Victor Osimhen's four-month loan transfer to Turkish champions Galatasaray, Soccernet.ng reports.

After a long summer of transfer talks, Super Eagles striker Osimhen got a move away from Napoli.

The 25-year-old striker was linked with Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, PSG, and Al Ahli, but the talks failed to yield fruits as they all failed to reach a compromise with Osimhen and Napoli. And despite his exploits for the Partenopeans, the club refused to take him back, leaving him in a tight position.

However, on Monday, news broke that Galatasaray were on the brink of acquiring Osimhen's services. The deal was eventually completed on Monday night, with Osimhen agreeing to a four-month loan transfers.

The move was greeted with a lof of love by Galatasaray fans, as thousands of them lined up the streets and the airport to welcome Osimhen to their club.

In one of the videos that was shared on social media showing the rousing welcome Osimhen was treated to, Ighalo expressed his satisfaction on the transfer.

The former Watford man wrote,”Who God has blessed, no one can curse.”

Recall that Osimhen and Ighalo are quite close as the former views the latter as a big brother. Ighalo wore the Super Eagles' number 9 jersey before Osimhen broke into the scene, and they have often shared pictures and videos of themselves together.
