Victor Osimhen’s Galatasaray loan includes €90 million January exit clause, says expert

New insights have emerged regarding Victor Osimhen’s loan move from Napoli to Galatasaray this summer, Soccernet.ng reports.

While the Nigerian striker is set to remain at the Turkish club until the end of the season, there’s a key clause that could see him depart as early as January.

According to journalist and transfer market expert Ciro Venerato, speaking on Rai 2’s Domenica Sportiva as per Tutto Napoli, Osimhen could leave Galatasaray in January if a non-Italian club pays a fee of around €90 million.

Should this happen, Galatasaray would receive severance pay.

The clause, however, prevents any Italian clubs from triggering the deal.

If no move materialises in January, Osimhen will be available for a slightly reduced fee in June, with no severance involved. Napoli also retain a unilateral option to keep him at the club until 2027.

On the pitch, Osimhen has made an immediate impact for Galatasaray.
During the thrilling 3-3 draw against Kasımpaşa in the Süper Lig, the Nigerian forward netted twice.

His first goal came in the 20th minute, converting a pinpoint cross from Abdulkerim Bardakci with a well-placed header.

Just eight minutes later, Osimhen scored again, smashing home a powerful shot from a Gabriel Sara pass.

With this brace, Osimhen became the first Galatasaray player since Bafetimbi Gomis in 2017 to contribute four or more goals in his first three league appearances.

Mauro Icardi added a third goal for the Lions, volleying home brilliantly after overpowering his marker.

Kasımpaşa however fought back brilliantly to claim a 3-3 draw.
