“Join Saudi Arabia” – AC Milan star Chukwueze playfully advises Super Eagles ace targeted by PSG, Arsenal

AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze has humorously urged fellow Super Eagles star and Ballon d’Or nominee Ademola Lookman to consider a switch to the Saudi Pro League, Soccernet.ng reports.

The advice came in a light-hearted moment as Chukwueze checked into the Super Eagles camp ahead of Nigeria’s crucial AFCON 2025 qualifiers.
The playful comments followed Lookman’s failed move to Paris Saint-Germain during the summer transfer window.

Lookman, who delivered a stunning season for Atalanta BC, became the first player to score a hat-trick in a UEFA competition final, helping his side secure a 3-0 victory over Bayer Leverkusen to win the Europa League.

His standout performances earned him Atalanta’s Player of the Season award and sparked interest from European giants, including PSG and Arsenal.

Despite reportedly agreeing on personal terms with PSG, Lookman’s move fell through when the French side and Atalanta could not agree on a transfer fee, leaving the forward in Italy for another season.

With the transfer window closed and Lookman now in Uyo with the Nigerian national team, Chukwueze joined the conversation on his teammate’s future.

In a video shared on TikTok, Chukwueze shouted with a laugh, “He’s my brother, I just want to tell him, Lookman, join Saudi Arabia, join captain!”

Chukwueze’s reference to “captain” was a nod to William Troost-Ekong, the Super Eagles skipper, who recently made his own move to the Saudi Pro League from Greece.

Lookman, Chukwueze, and Troost-Ekong will all be involved when Nigeria trade tackles with the Benin Republic in Uyo on Saturday.
