English Premier League clubs Arsenal and Chelsea could hijack Victor Osimhen's transfer to PSG due to the club's sluggishness in completing the deal, Soccernet.ng reports.
Osimhen's future has been the subject of numerous transfer talks this summer, with strong reports linking him with with transfer away from Napoli.
The prolific 25-year-old Nigerian goal poacher has been brilliant for Napoli for the past two years, and he has caught the attention of some of Europe's biggest clubs.
Some clubs showed interest in signing Osimhen last summer, but Napoli refused to sell. But it is highly likely that the former Lille man will leave Naples this summer.
Two weeks ago, news broke out that French giants PSG were set to complete a deal for Osimhen, but that has since grown cold, as everything has been silent since then. Meanwhile, Osimhen has not even participated in any of Napoli's pre-season game so far.
However, in a new development according to Football Italia, PSG have frozen talks for Osimhen because of Napoli's huge asking price.
This delay could pave the way for Arsenal and Chelsea, who have also been in the mix but have not made a major move. The two Premier League clubs need to sign strikers, but Osimhen's price has been the issue for them too.
Nonetheless, if they grow desperate, they could be forced to spill the cash and snatch Osimhen away from PSG.
