Leicester City player Wilfred Ndidi is giving back to the society with the launch of his foundation, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 27-year-old star recently opened up about his journey to recovery and full fitness, following his return to the pitch after an injury which had him sidelined for a while.
Away from the football scene, Ndidi recently took to social media to announce the launch of his “OWN Foundation”. OWN Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering communities and spreading humanity through compassion and action.
The foundation is committed to providing free meals for homes across Nigeria and ensuring people have what they need to thrive.
The OWN Foundation has launched its mission by generously donating bags of rice to 250 families across Nigeria.
Ndidi joins the likes of William Troost Ekong and Odion Ighalo who are committed to using their resources and influence to help the masses and make impact in the lives of people in whatever way they can.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian midfielder’s time at King Power Stadium is nearing its end, as his contract with Leceister City will expire this summer.
Several football clubs, including Barcelona, Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle United, are reportedly interested in signing the Super Eagles star.
