From scoring goals to ‘saving lives’, Emenike’s multi-billion Naira hospital gets praise from former teammate Enyeama

The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations hero made a lot of money during his playing days, and he has invested in different businesses

Former Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Emenike has added to his list of businesses, as he has opened his new hospital in Owerri, Imo State, Soccernet.ng reports.

Emenike was one of the stars of the team that won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa. The former West Ham star scored four goals in the tournament to help the team to victory.

The former Nigeria international retired from active football in 2019, but he has been living a fine life since then. Emenike has a luxury hotel in Imo State named the EE29 Hotel.

However, the 36-year-old has now added to his list of businesses. Emenike has teased his Instagram followers with clips of an about-to-be-launched healthcare facility.

In a new development, the teasing has halted, as the former Nigeria international shared a video of the newly opened hospital on his Instagram page. The hospital, named the Emenike Hospital, is located in Owerri, the state capital.

From its look, the hospital looks like it will be well equipped, and operations have already begun.

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama showed his support for Emenike, reposting the video on his Instagram page with the caption, “I am so proud of you, I am so happy that this hospital is now open to save lives. Congratulations.”

Aisde from Enyeama, Super Eagles star Moses Simon, Afrobeats singer Kcee, and other followers congratulated Emenike on his new hospital.

Emenike currently lives in Imo State with his wife and children, and most of his businesses are situated there.
