However, the emergence of this viral video offers a good insight into how Peseiro's squad is gearing up for the upcoming tournament and sparks hope in their diligent preparation.

Despite Wilfred Ndidi's early withdrawal, the Portuguese tactician appears well-equipped to manage his 25-man squad, eyeing Nigeria's fourth AFCON trophy with optimism.

Ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, the Super Eagles are set to face Guinea in a friendly match, having finalized an agreement with their Guinean counterparts, although Burkina Faso was also initially considered by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

Following their training stint in Abu Dhabi, the team will return to Nigeria before heading to Abidjan. Their tournament campaign kicks off with a match against Equatorial Guinea on Sunday, January 14.
