Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro has confirmed that the Royale Antwerp player will be unavailable for tomorrow's game against Cote d’Ivoire, as reported by Soccernet.ng.
The former Tiki Taka FC player was stretchered off during Nigeria's opening match of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations against Equatorial Guinea.
Responding to Soccernet's inquiry about Yusuf's condition after a scan, Peseiro stated that the defensive midfielder won't be ready for the Ivory Coast match but might be available for the subsequent game.
“Yusuf is out from tomorrow’s game, there are no other injuries, it's a good news from Yesterday. But for this match, he [Alhassan Yusuf] is not ready, but the next game, he can be” he told Soccernet.ng.
