Victor Osimhen has been heavily linked with a move away from the Diego Maradona Stadium following Napoli’s Tiktok video saga

Reigning Serie A champions Napoli SSC are reportedly exploring options for a new forward lineup, with Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus, Atletico Madrid’s Alvaro Morata, and LOSC Lille forward, Jonathan David emerging as potential replacements for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, Soccernet.ng reports.

Osimhen’s future at Napoli has come into question following the TikTok video controversy, leading to speculation about his possible departure from the Diego Maradona Stadium.

The club has yet to reach an agreement with Osimhen’s camp regarding a new contract, prompting Napoli to consider alternative options.

Calciomercato reports that Napoli is actively seeking a replacement for Osimhen, who has been in outstanding goal-scoring form, tallying five goals in seven domestic league appearances in the 2023-24 season campaign.

Despite assurances from Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis to the media, Osimhen’s contract situation remains uncertain.

His current contract with the club runs until 2025, but discussions about a contract extension have not yielded concrete results.

During the summer transfer window, Osimhen was linked with several top European clubs, including Manchester United, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, and Al Hilal.

However, Napoli’s €150 million price tag for the Super Eagles striker made a transfer difficult for potential suitors who all pulled off for alternatives.

While there has been no official statement from Napoli or Osimhen’s camp regarding his future, speculation continues to swirl.

Football faithful are eagerly awaiting Osimhen’s decision, which could involve either extending his contract with Napoli or seeking a move during the next transfer window.
