Emmanuel Dennis has been linked with a move away from Nottingham Forest this summer after failing to recapture his best form for the club last season, scoring two goals in 19 league appearances
Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Dennis has returned to training at Nottingham Forest, with speculations continuing to circulate about his possible departure from the club, Soccernet.ng reports
The 25-year-old, who signed for Nottingham Forest last season from Watford, has not been able to reach the previous height in his first season in England when he registered 10 goals and contributed 6 assists in the league.
His limited appearances last season continued to generate rumors of a possible departure from the club to the Saudi Pro League.
His lack of game time last season also contributed to his omission from the Super Eagles call-up, failing to make the squad that claimed victory over Sierra Leone in the country’s recent African Cup of Nations qualifying match.
However, he has returned with his teammates for the club’s pre-season games, with rumors keep circulating about his future at the City Ground.
He made just 19 appearances in the league last season, with Forest’s manager, Steve Cooper, preferring the partnership of Brennan Johnson and Taiwo Awoniyi upfront, reducing the former Genk forward appearances to come from the bench.
