The high-stakes transfer drama surrounding Victor Osimhen is on the brink of a thrilling climax as Paris Saint-Germain edge closer to parting ways with their French superstar Kylian Mbappe, Soccernet.ng reports.
In the past few days, PSG and Kylian Mbappe have been embroiled in a contract-transfer saga, which has escalated tensions.
The French champions, apparently sensing Mbappe’s reluctance to sign a new deal, have taken the bold step of listing him for sale and notably excluded him from their pre-season tour.
This decision comes as Mbappe’s current contract with PSG has just one year remaining, leading the club to suspect that he might be eyeing a free transfer to Real Madrid next summer.
PSG’s conviction in this belief stems from their perception that Mbappe has already reached an agreement with Real Madrid, with a contract all set to go.
The stakes have been raised further, with reports indicating that at least five clubs, including some from the English Premier League, have approached PSG regarding the acquisition of Kylian Mbappe.
Among these suitors, as per transfer market guru Fabrizio Romano, former Saudi Arabia champions Al Hilal have made a splash by submitting a formal bid to PSG.
The astounding offer is valued at €300 million, setting a new record for a transfer fee.

While the staggering bid from Al-Hilal might be tempting, it remains uncertain if Mbappe will accept a move to Asia and leave Europe’s footballing elite behind.
If PSG succeed in offloading Mbappe to Al-Hilal, it is anticipated that they will use a substantial portion of the received funds to finance a blockbuster move for Napoli’s Victor Osimhen.
The Parisians have previously tried their luck with a €100 million bid for Osimhen, but Napoli, the Italian champions, turned down the offer.
However, PSG seem determined to acquire the Super Eagles striker and could be prepared to double their bid to persuade Napoli to part ways with Osimhen.
As for Osimhen, the Nigeria international appears to have reservations about leaving Napoli for France. He has already resumed pre-season training with the Italian club, even though it is an open secret that his preferred destination is the English Premier League.
