The Super Eagles star made 21 appearances in all competitions for Hertha Berlin last season before making the switch to Belgium this summer
Super Eagles forward Chidera Ejuke has joined Belgian league champions Royal Antwerp on a year deal from CSKA Moscow, Soccernet.ng reports
The 25-year-old spent last season on loan at Hertha Berlin, where he registered 3 assists in 20 league appearances before the club suffered relegation to German Bundesliga 2.
Ejuke used an exception from FIFA for players active in Russia to make the switch to Belgium. He was among the players granted permission by the football governing body to seek their futures elsewhere following the country’s invasion of Ukraine.
The versatile forward, who can play in different positions in attack, comes with experience in European football to the club having played with Valerenga in Norway, Heenrenveen in the Netherlands, and Hertha Berlin in Germany.
While announcing Ejuke’s signing on their Twitter handle, the club wrote

The attacker, who can play in different positions, comes over from CSKA Moscow. Ejike uses an exception from FIFA for players active in Russia to make the switch to the Bosuil.
Chidera Ejuka also played football for Valerenga (Norway), Heenrenveen (Netherlands) and Hertha Berlin (Germany).
Chuka has been a regular face in the Super Eagles’ camp since making his debut in a 1-1 friendly match against Tunisia in 2020.
