Chukwueze’s transfer has been in the works for weeks, but the Rossoneri have now completed the deal
19-time Serie A champions AC Milan have confirmed the signing of Super Eagles forward Samuel Chukwueze from Villarreal, Soccernet reports.
Chukwueze has attracted a lot of interest from clubs abroad after his performance last season with Villarreal. He registered 13 goals and eleven assists in 50 appearances for the Yellow Submarine.
Arsenal, Aston Villa, and Real Madrid were all linked to the 24-year-old attacker, but AC Milan eventually became the frontrunners to get his signature.
The Rossoneri have been working on a deal for the Nigeria international in recent weeks, and despite links with Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr, the deal has now been completed.
AC Milan have now confirmed the signing of Chukwueze on a five-year deal for €20million with the option of €8million add-ons.
The tricky Super Eagles winger will wear the number 21 jersey at the club. He is now the ninth Nigerian player to sign for the club.
Also, Chukwueze joins other Nigerian stars in the Serie A, like Victor Osimhen, Michael Folorunsho, Isaac Success, Tyrone Ebuehi, and Ademola Lookman. He will also become one of the highest-paid in Italy and in the history of the club.
A good signing for acmilan to add to Nigeria players in serie a
