Former Napoli and Argentina striker, Carlos Sosa, has made a statement of intent for his striker of choice, should Victor Osimhen leave…
Former Napoli forward, Roberto Carlos Sosa, has recommended his choice of striker to replace Victor Osimhen, soccernet.ng reports.
With Manchester United, Paris Saint-German, Chelsea and Real Madrid already linked to the Capocannoniere award winner, and with a move possibly on the cards, former Napoli forward, Robert Sosa, has given his preferred choice of replacement, should the Super Eagles forward depart the Diego Amando Maradona Stadium.
Sosa donned the Napoli colours as a striker between 2004 and 2008, scoring twenty-eight goals in a hundred and sixteen games.
Meanwhile, according to Area Napoli, he named Giovanni Simeone as his preferred choice to replace Osimhen, with Atalanta’s Rasmus Winther Højlund making a switch to join him as a strike partner to learn from him, before eventually becoming a force in Naples.
“I would take Højlund, so that he can play the place with Simeone and Raspadori. If Napoli decides to say yes to the offers for the former Lille man, I would struggle to bet on Hojlund as a starter. If Osimhen leaves and you take Hojlund, for me it’s the Argentine Giovanni Simeone the starter. Between Raspadori, Simeone and Hojlund I would absolutely play the Argentine, he is at the head of my preferences.”
Simeone, 27 years old, is the son of Atlético Madrid boss, Diego Simeone, scored nine goals in thirty-three appearances for Napoli last season, on loan from Hellas Verona and is set to return to his parent club, except Napoli decide to make a move for the striker.
That’s nice post!
