The two Super Eagles players were instrumental in helping Crystal Palace defeat tenacious West Ham United
Fireworks were let off at Selhurst Park when Crystal Palace defeated West Ham United after losing to Wolverhampton by a score of 2-nil, Soccernet.ng reports.
Two Super Eagles target Michael Olise, and Eberechi Eze’s outstanding performance assisted the Palace team in completing a home and away English Premier League victories against their London rivals in a 4-3 thriller.
The first goal came from David Moye’s team when Tomas Soucek pounced on a shakily cleared cross by Olise and fired a shot from close range.
The Super Eagles-eligible player made up for his errors by setting up Ghanaian Jordan Ayew to score the equalisers, giving the visitors only six minutes to celebrate.
Wilfred Zaha and Jeffrey Schlupp put the host out of reach by showcasing Crystal Palace’s full potential under Roy Hodgson. However, Michail Antonio gave the opposition a goal a few minutes later.
Eze, who scored Palace’s fourth goal from the penalty spot and fired it to the bottom corner of the post after Nayerf Aguerd took him down, scored the game’s first goal in the second half.
The Eagles were unfortunate once again in the last minutes as Aguerd struck at the far post of Hodgon’s team to replicate their second goal.
Meanwhile, the hosts were fortunate to receive all three points after their first-half goals paid off, moving them up to 11th place in the Premier League standings.
