Tottenham-owned Super Eagles-eligible youngster involved in car accident

Destiny Udogie, the rising star of Udinese and the Italian Under-21 national team, has been involved in a car accident, according to reports.

Soccernet.ng understands that the left-back, who is also set to join Tottenham on July 1st, lost control of his car last night and crashed into the outside tables of a city bar, causing damages worth thousands of euros.

Thankfully, the 20-year-old footballer was unharmed in the accident, which is believed to have occurred around 3 am. However, he was subjected to an alcohol test by law enforcement officers, the results of which have not been disclosed.

This is not the first time Udinese players have been involved in road accidents of a certain seriousness. On 11th October last year, the Brazilian midfielder, Walace Souza Silva, lost control of his high-powered car in the middle of the night, causing significant damage. Luckily, there were no injuries in that incident either.

Fans and supporters of both Udinese and Tottenham will be relieved to hear that Udogie escaped unscathed from the accident. However, the incident serves as a reminder of the dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol and the importance of responsible behavior on the roads.

Udogie, who remains eligible to play for the Super Eagles through his parents, will hope to put the incident behind him as he looks to secure a successful future with Tottenham. The Premier League club will undoubtedly be keeping a close eye on the situation and ensuring that their new signing receives any necessary support or assistance.
