Nigerian footballers are taking the world by storm as they continue to put in incredible performances for their clubs across Europe and beyond. Here is Soccernet.ng’s highlight of their most significant actions on Sunday, April 2nd, 2023.

In Belgium, Victor Boniface was a force to be reckoned with, as he helped Royale Union Saint-Gilloise come back from behind to secure a late 2-1 home victory over Sint-Truiden. Boniface was on fire for 81 minutes, and his impressive performance was key to the club’s success.

Meanwhile, in England, Ashleigh Plumptre was an incredible powerhouse for Leicester City, putting in an outstanding defensive performance that helped secure a crucial 2-1 home win over Reading. Plumptre was a real game-changer and played a key role in the team’s success.

Over in France, Terem Moffi continued to light up the pitch with his exceptional skills, netting his 16th Ligue 1 goal of the season to help OGC Nice secure a 1-1 draw away to Angers.

In Germany, Kevin Akpoguma made an incredible comeback after picking up an injury while playing for the national team. He was back with a bang and played a starring role in Hoffenheim’s crucial 2-1 win away to Werder Bremen.

In Spain, Nigerian stars were in top form!

Asisat Oshoala continued her amazing run for Barcelona, coming off the bench to help secure a fantastic 2-0 win at Alhama.

Meanwhile, Kelechi Nwakali impressed in midfield for SD Ponferradina, although they were held to a goalless league draw at Lugo.

Samuel Chukwueze was an absolute machine for Villarreal, winning the penalty that led to the game’s opener in an impressive 2-0 victory over Real Sociedad.

In Switzerland, goalkeeper Sebastian Osigwe returned to the starting lineup for Lugano but sadly couldn’t stop his team from suffering a 2-1 defeat against Grasshopper.

Finally, in the United States, Henry Uzochukwu was in the zone, providing an amazing assist for the opening goal as Phoenix Rising FC played out a thrilling home league draw.
