Four reasons why Bright Osayi-Samuel may join Brentford in the next summer transfer window

Nigerian star, Bright Osayi-Samuel, has recently been linked to a move to England since the January transfer window, but his move faced a roadblock.

The Super Eagles defender was on the verge of moving to Bournemouth from Fenerbahçe, but they were unable to fulfil his club’s demands.

The Nigerian was being courted by the Cherries to return to England on loan, but the Turkish club asserts that they have first to shell out the 12 million euros they are demanding in order to release him.

Another English team, Brentford FC, is now on his radar in an effort to entice him back to England, and Four factors will be emphasised by Soccernet.ng as reasons why a transfer to the Gtech Community Stadium is likely to occur.

According to a recent rumour, the English team dispatched scouts to Turkey to witness Fenerbahçe’s home game against Ankaragucu, which resulted in a 2-1 victory and in which Osayi-Samuel played an important part for 90 minutes. Fenerbahçe went on to win the match 2-1.

The reported Bees’ offer for the Nigerian

If this information is accurate, Brentford has apparently offered the Turkish club’s demand of 12 million euros, which had prevented the Nigerian defender from transferring to Bournemouth in January.

Brentford’s offer is a wise move

The Nigerian may be playing at a different stage of his career, but joining Brentford would provide him with a regular playing role and give him the opportunity to play for elite teams. Osayi-Samuel’s transfer to Brentford will provide him with a solid platform to attract the interest of potential suitors as a result.

A journey homeward

Osayi-Samuel began his professional career in England with Blackpool before transferring to QPR in 2017. The Okija-born wingback later signed a €580,000 contract with Fenerbahçe in 2021. The 25-year-old’s choice to go to England is more comparable to returning home.
