According to a recent rumour, the English team dispatched scouts to Turkey to witness Fenerbahçe's home game against Ankaragucu, which resulted in a 2-1 victory and in which Osayi-Samuel played an important part for 90 minutes. Fenerbahçe went on to win the match 2-1.
