In the Italian Serie A, Victor Osimhen's excellent run of scoring in eight consecutive league games came to a halt as Napoli succumbed to a narrow 1-0 loss at home to Lazio.

Kehinde Fatai, 33, scored the only goal of the game as struggling Oţelul overpowered their visitors, Csikszereda, at the Stadionul Oţelul in Galaţi in a Romanian Liga II encounter.

In South Africa, goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi made the bench for new club Swallows and watched as his teammates were torn apart 4-1 by Orlando Pirates.

Akpeyi had been without a club since Kaizer Chiefs last year.
