Nice let Delort leave the club in January and got Moffi from Lorient, and their decision has begun to yield results
Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi scored twice and got an assist for Nice to help them secure a 3-0 victory against Monaco.
Moffi failed to find the net in his first three games for Nice since he joined the club in January. However, he was looking to change that when they traveled to Stade Louis II to take on Monaco, and he did just that.
The Super Eagles striker led the line for Les Aiglon and he did it with authority. The Super Eagles striker opened the scoring for Nice after just ten minutes.
Before Monaco could find a response, Nice hit them again, and it was Moffi who got his second of the game. The Nigerian striker got on the end of a brilliant cross from Kheophren Thuram and sent a wicked shot past Nubel in Monaco’s goal.
Monaco got their third just before halftime and Moffi was involved again, albeit he turned supplier. He set up Thuram with a precise through ball, and the French man simply struck it home to give Nice a 3-0 lead.
Nice took their feet off the pedal in the second half, but they made Monaco look ordinary on their own turf.
Les Aiglon ran out with the 3-0 victory, and it ensures that they are unbeaten in their last eight games. They now sit seventh in Ligue 1.
Moffi got his first goals for Nice since his move from Lorient in January. The club would hope that those would be the first of many to come.
