The Nigerian International, Henry Onyekuru, moved from Olympiacos FC to join Adana Demirspor on a season long loan.

A massive earthquake strikes Southeast Turkey, including Adana, Henry Onyekuru’s city.

According to reports, more than 1,300 people were killed, and 6,000 were injured in the disaster.

Onyekuru moved to the Turkish division to join Adana Demirspor on a season-long loan from Olympiacos FC in 2022.

The Nigerian international, who has played 19 games for the Turkish team, has also scored six goals and provided two assists.

The earthquake, which has killed hundreds of people, has sparked fears about the safety of the Nigerian attacker and his countryman, David Babajide, who is in the same club.

However, no information on Onyekuru and Babajide’s safety has been obtained at the time of writing this report, but information reaching us reveals that Christian Atsu, a Ghanaian, is among the casualties apparently “trapped” beneath debris after a massive earthquake rocked Turkey.

According to reports, a search and rescue mission is underway after Atsu, who formerly played for Chelsea and Newcastle United, got caught up in the 7.7 magnitude earthquake.

Last summer, the 65-cap Ghana international joined the Süper Lig team Hataysport.
