The Nigerian striker has been terrific in the last two years, and Eintracht Frankfurt want to secure his services
Europa League champions Eintracht Frankfurt have initiated talks with Genk for the transfer of Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu.
Onuachu has been great for Genk in the last two seasons. Two seasons ago, he won the Golden boot after hitting 33 Jupiler League goals.
Last season, despite struggling with injuries, Onuachu still produced 19 goals in 29 games. This season, Onuachu has been on fire, netting 14 goals in 18 Jupiler League fixtures.
The 28-year-old’s displays have not gone unnoticed, as Walfoot reports that Eintracht Frankfurt have started talks with Genk for his services.
However, the Europa League champions are reported offering €15million for Onuachu’s services.
Genk will demand €25million for the transfer to happen. However, the Smurfs may budge because Onuachu’s contract expires at the end of next season, and they may be willing to reduce their valuation to avoid losing him on a free.
