Confirmed: OGC Nice sign Moffi from Lorient

Moffi has been great this season, and he has sealed a big move to a top side

Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi has joined Ligue 1 side OGC Nice from Lorient.

Moffi has been phenomenal for Lorient this season. He has played a vital role in helping Les Merlus in their fairytale run this season.

The Super Eagles striker has scored twelve goals in 18 appearances this season. Only PSG star Kylian Mbappe has more goals than Moffi this season.

Moffi’s displays have not gone unnoticed, as some Premier League clubs showed interest in signing him. Also, Lyon and Marseille wanted to get his services.

However, Nice confirmed on Tuesday that they have secured Moffi’s services on loan till the end of the season with a mandatory purchase clause.

“OGC Nice is pleased to formalize the arrival of Terem Moffi in the form of a loan with a mandatory purchase option, from FC Lorient,” the club communicated via their website.

OGC Nice are expected to pay up to €30million for the 23-year-old attacker. Moffi will fill in the number 9 position that was left void after Andy Delort left for Nantes.
