Big Blow! Super Eagles defender picks a knock amid transfer links

Some English teams have lately shown interest in the Super Eagles full-back and are hoping to capture the outstanding player.

Nigerian International Bright Osayi-Samuel suffered an injury in Fenerbahçe’s Ziraat Turkish Cup match.

According to reports, the defender was injured as his club was hosting Çaykur Rizespor at home in a round-of-16 encounter.

The bright youngster got injured In the 80th minute of the game, and was taken off the field.

This could be a major setback for his departure from the Turkish club, as his performance has piqued the interest of some English clubs.

Recall that the Nigerian international, who has excelled in a capacity other than his usual one, has piqued the gaze of Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest.

While both teams have been looking to bolster their squads with Nigerian talent, his injury could be a major setback for him in the January transfer window.

Fenerbahçe lured the Nigerian international from QPR to Turkey for a fee of around €508k, but as a result of the injury, they may have missed their best opportunity to sell the Nigerian international for an interesting transfer fee.
