Super Eagles attacker pens new deal at Udinese

The Super Eagles forward moved to Italy last season, and he has impressed during his stay

Super Eagles forward Isaac Success has penned a one-year contract extension with Italian Serie A club Udinese.

Success joined Udinese in August 2021 after an unsuccessful three-year stay at Watford. And so far, the 26-year-old has been decent for the club.

The former Watford man has registered four goals and 13 assists in 41 appearances for the Bianconeri. This season, Success has recorded three assists in 15 games.

There were earlier reports that Lazio may be looking to swoop in for the Super Eagles star as a deputy for Italy international Ciro Immobile.

However, such talks have been put to bed now, as Udinese have confirmed that they have extended Success’ contract by an extra year.

The 26-year-old attacker will remain at the club till the end of next season in 2024.

Success was one of Nigeria’s stars from the 2013 Under-17 World Cup. But he has failed to reach the heights he was primed to reach.

Asides from Udinese and Watford, the Nigerian attacker has had stints at Malaga, Granada.
