Bad day in office for Super Eagles players as Leicester miss Ndidi

Seven losses in nine games aren’t what any pundit would have thought of the Foxes but their lack of bite this season is a major call for relegation concerns

Bournemouth defeated Leicester at the Amex Stadium on Saturday and the Foxes must wish they had some vitality themselves.

With their Nigerian midfield enforcer Wilfred Ndidi absent due to a hamstring problem, Leicester came into the game short on defensive midfield quality.

Patson Daka gave Leicester the lead as early as the 10th minute and they looked to cruise until their struggles reared an ugly head.

Attacking midfielder of Nigerian-descent, Phillip Billing scored in the 67th minute and Ryan Christie worsened the condition for Leicester four minutes later.

Nigerian international, Kelechi Iheanacho came on in the 79th minute but his presence hardly sparked a turnaround for the Foxes.

Leicester are 19th on the log now, above only Nottingham Forest who have also struggled for form on their Premier League return.

Man City brush Saints aside

Joe Aribo must have looked forward to facing some of the Premier League’s best sides and Man City came all guns blazing.

Erling Haaland, looking unstoppable and almost impossible at the point waited to add to his incredible tally in the Premier League.

While the Nigeria international, Aribo saw 79 minutes of action, Man City had all the actions scoring four times against a team they can look at for fulfillment. At least three Manchester City Academy products are in Southampton but Pep Guardiola showed just how much Aribo and the ex-City boys need to learn to get to that level.

Joao Cancelo, Phil Foden, Riyad Mahrez and Haaland’s 15th of the league season and 20th in all competitions proved enough for the kill.
