The Nigeria international has been one of the most consistent performers in the English Premier League, to the admiration of several Toffee fans
The praises have continued to flow in the direction of Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi after yet another near-perfect performance for Everton FC on Saturday.
The former Arsenal winger rarely put a foot wrong as Frank Lampard’s men held fancied Liverpool to a goalless draw at Goodison Park.
Deployed in his new role at the centre of the park, Iwobi brought energy and crisp passing to the Toffees as they blunted the effectiveness of their dangerous neighbours.
Iwobi’s improved fortunes this term mean the Nigeria international has not missed any minute for Everton in the English Premier League.
That is a significant improvement for a player who was considered a flop before the appointment of Frank Lampard as Everton’s manager.
A few Everton fans have taken to the social media micro-blogging site Twitter to confess their previous disaffection for Iwobi and their change of hearts following his excellent displays.
And one, in particular, reveals he now adores Iwobi so much he’d ‘take a bullet’ for the Nigerian.
OFearns wrote: “I remember after the start of last season I never wanted to see him wear the kit again now I’d take a bullet for him. I genuinely love him.”

Below are other comments praising Iwobi for turning around his wobbling career remarkably.
Gone from "Why the fuck is he starting" to completely undropable in about 10 games

His style of play shows a high degree of creativity, quickness and, above all, efficiency, making him a valuable player .

I can remember saying he had played a game which was the worst I had ever seen someone play at that level, and honestly he has 100% embarrassed me. His work ethic and mental strength to it around the way he has as well, regardless of Everton that’s fantastic. Good on him.

This is the best he has “ever” played. He’s in the best form of his career!

Despite Iwobi’s brilliance, Everton remain without a win in six league games this season.
Frank Lampard’s men are the draw-kings after drawing their last four league matches. The Toffees will have the chance to get their first win on the board when they travel to the Emirates Stadium next weekend to face Arsenal.
