The Nigeria international is in rich scoring form, having found the net three times in three of his last four games for club and country
A Luis Fernando Muriel double and another fine strike from Ademola Lookman powered Atalanta Bergamasca Calcio to a 3-1 friendly win over Sporting Franciacorta on Tuesday.
Played inside the Centro Bortolotti of Zingonia two days after their 1-1 home draw against champions AC Milan, Atalanta’s victory over Serie D side Franciacorta was never in doubt.
In a match with two halves of 40 minutes, Muriel handed Gian Piero Gasperini’s men the lead in the 22nd minute.
Lookman doubled Atalanta’s advantage ten minutes later. The Super Eagles winger exchanged a one-two pass with Muriel before applying a firm finish past the hapless goalkeeper.

Colombian forward Muriel headed in Atalanta’s third in the second half before Bertazzoli grabbed a consolation goal for Franciacorta.
Lookman looks to be in rich scoring form at the moment after he also found the net on his Serie A debut in the 2-0 defeat of Sampdoria on August 13.
It would be recalled that the former RB Leipzig ace was on target for Nigeria in his last competitive match before joining Atalanta.
The 24-year-old scored goal number seven as the Super Eagles crushed Sao Tome and Principe 10-0 in an Afcon qualifier at the Stade d’Agadir on June 13.
