Oparanozie has had quite a successful career, especially on the international scene. The 28-year-old left French side Dijon FC for Wuhan Jianghan, and it has been a successful stay.
Her side sit comfortably on top of the Women’s Super League. And they added a trophy to their cabinet on Sunday, as they thrashed Beijing Women 3-0 to claim the FA Cup.
Goals from Zhu Hongguo and Temwa Chawinga were enough to crown Wuhan Jianghan champions of China. Oparanozie saw only seven minutes of action in the game as she was introduced in the 83rd minute.
Oparanozie won the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Golden boot in 2014. She was key in the Super Falcons’ triumphs in 2010, 2014, 2016, and 2018.
However, she missed out on a place on Waldrum’s list for the last WAFCON. Nonetheless, she would look to find her place back in the squad ahead of the 2023 World Cup.
