South Africa beat Morocco 2-1 in the final of the 2022 Women's Africa Cup of Nations to claim their first-ever continental title.

Rosella pulled one back for Morocco in the 80th minute, but it was not enough. Morocco piled pressure on South Africa, but the Banyana Banyana held on to the 2-1 lead to claim their first WAFCON title, usurping Nigeria to be the new queens of the continent.
