The Napoli forward was on the scoresheet for the Super Eagles on Thursday as Nigeria defeated Sierra Leone

Osimhen scored an instinctive goal just before the break to give Nigeria the lead and ultimately what would prove to be the winner.

The forward ran the channels all game and gave the Super Eagles several options coming close to scoring at different periods and setting others up to score.

His performance received good reviews from fans of the Super Eagles on a day the team was pegged back again.

Osimhen in a tweet after the game hailed the team spirit and looked forward to the game against Sao Tomé and Principé.

Nigeria came back from behind to defeat the Leone Stars as the Sierra Leoneans started like a house on fire.

Their early pressure paid off in the 11th minute when they took the lead through Morsay. The Nigerians bounced back almost immediately as Alex Iwobi drew the Super Eagles level.

Osimhen grabbed the winner and the team spurned several scoring opportunities afterwards.
