Between the end of last season till the current moment, virtually every big Premier League club has been linked with Victor Osimhen
Osimhen, valued at €110m by Napoli has been the subject of transfer talks from England.
Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea and Newcastle United have all been mentioned as potential destinations in the past.
With Liverpool signing Darwin Nunez already in a big money move, Osimhen is definitely not on the cards again for them.
Chelsea are looking to let Romelu Lukaku go with Inter Milan believed to nearing a loan move for the Belgian. Should that move be completed, Osimhen may be in the eyes of Chelsea’s new owners as he fits the bill of the kind of attacker Thomas Tuchel desires. Some rumours have linked the player with a move to Stamford Bridge but nothing concrete has been established.
Manchester United have also been advised to make a move for the forward but the transfer plans of Erik Ten Hag are yet to be fully known. Osimhen has been reported as one of the attackers the club is looking at.
The bigger interest has however come from Arsenal so far, with Lorenzo Amuso, an Italian transfer expert telling CMIT TV that Napoli turned down a €60m bid by the Gunners. Although Arsenal are also believed to be advancing in talks with Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus, the Super Eagles star is still in their sights.
Osimhen is also believed to be wanted by Antonio Conte at Tottenham but nothing concrete has been mentioned so far. Newcastle United with Saudi owners have also been mentioned as potential destination and they seem to be the only buyers who can afford Osimhen at his current valuation as they push to make a statement signing ahead of the new season.
The Nigerian forward failed to rule out a potential Napoli exit when he was asked in an interview, and that may have been deemed an encouragement by clubs interested in his acquisition.
“There’s a lot of rumors going on in the media, but anytime can happen. You don’t know what is going to happen in the summer, ” Osimhen told NFF TV.
“I just want to go to my family and refresh my mind. And when the right time comes, I will talk about my future.”
