“Anything can happen”- Osimhen reticent on possibility of leaving Napoli

The Super Eagles star banged in four against Sao Tome and Principe, and following his display, his suitors could intensify their efforts to secure his services

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen admits that there is a possibility that he could leave Napoli this summer, but refused to shed light on his next move.

Osimhen was terrific for the Partenopeans last season, scoring 18 in 32 appearances in all competitions. And he brought the same form to the Super Eagles, scoring five goals in two games.

Arsenal, Manchester United, and Newcastle have been continuously linked with the 23-year-old, but Napoli’s €110million price tag  has been the debacle for a move. However, after his display against Sao Tome and Principe, his suitors could intensify their efforts to secure his services.

Nonetheless, the former Lille man is unwilling to dabble in the transfer talk, but he admits that anything could still happen.

“I’m happy about the win against Sao Tome and Principe”, Osimhen said as per NFF TV.

“But I don’t like to mix country and club issues. I don’t think it is the right time for me to talk about it since I just finished with the National team.

“There’s a lot of rumors going on in the media, but anytime can happen. You don’t know what is going to happen in the summer.

“I just want to go to my family and refresh my mind. And when the right time comes, I will talk about my future.”

The transfer market is open till August, and with the continuous links, Osimhen could still leave Naples this summer.
