Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo announced the sad death of his twin son with partner Georgina Rodriguez on Monday night. The shocking news hit the football world that has since responded with messages of love and sympathy for the family.

The couple was expecting the birth of twins but only their daughter survived the birth process. They thanked the doctors for trying their best to save the life of their twin son but found consolation in the eyes of their new daughter.

Several thousands of people and clubs from all over the world, including Nigeria, have sent condolences to the Ronaldo family.
