Well, Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel has taken the same route to heap some of the blame for their 4-2 loss to city rivals Arsenal on the state of the Stamford Bridge pitch.

“I have to say, the pitch is difficult to play here,” Tuchel said after Wednesday's game. “Maybe sounds like an excuse, but it's a very difficult pitch that we have here.”
