Feyenoord striker Cyriel Dessers is prepared to give an excellent performance when his side welcomes French giants Marseille in the first leg of their Europa Conference League semifinal clash.
The former Dutch champions are set to face their biggest challenge in the Conference League when they lock horns with 1993 Champions League winners Marseille.
However, Feyenoord can fancy their chances as the Phocaeans have not been at the top of their game in recent years.
Nonetheless, if Feyenoord is to achieve anything from the fixture, they would need their Conference League top scorer Dessers to be in his elements.
The clash against Marseille would be Dessers' first in the semifinals of a European club competition, and the Nigerian talisman is prepared to give his all.
“De Kuip(Feyenoord stadium) is special anyway, but the European evenings have some extras,” Dessers told the Feyenoord website.
“I expect it to be one of the best matches of my career. This is what you dream of if you want to become a footballer as a child.”
A victory for Feyenoord would ensure their first European final in twenty years.
