Cyriel Dessers scored for Feyenoord on the stroke of half time as the Dutch team nailed Partizan Belgrade’s coffin.
Feyenoord skipper, Jens Toornstra thought he’d gotten his name on the scoresheet in the 45th minute but soon realised that his speculative effort had rifled through Dessers’ back to hit the Belgrade net. It was one of the Nigerians’ easiest goal ever probably as he opened the floodgates for Feyenoord.
Arsenal loanee Reiss Nelson and Linssen completed the rout, as Feyenoord defeated the Serbians 8-3 on aggregate.
In Slavia Praha’s 4-3 loss to LASK, Yira Sor scored a stunning effort after pouncing on a slip-up from in the LASK midfield.
He completed a solo run from his box to the opposition’s to score his fifth goal in four Europa Conference League games.
Sor’s compatriot, Peter Olayinka had given Slavia Praha the lead in the 24th minute. Senegal’s Ibrahima Bah made it two thirteen minutes after the Super Eagles star had given the Czech champions the lead. The goal came just a few seconds after LASK had leveled on the night.

Sor had helped Slavia get a comfortable 3-1 lead but a second red card for the Czechs meant they played with 9 men. LASK threatened to upturn the massive deficit as they scored three goals in the final fourteen minutes to lead 4-3. It was however too little too late for the Austrians as they lost 7-5 on aggregate.
In the Europa League, Zaidu Sanusi featured from start to finish as Porto played out a 1-1 draw away to Lyon. A 1-0 loss at home by Porto meant the Lyon campaigners progressed on aggregate.
