Almeria demand ₦28billion for Umar

The Super Eagles star is one of the hottest strikers in Spain, and he has attracted interest from some top European teams

Spanish Laliga2 side Almeria have demanded 60million euros(₦28billion) for star striker Sadiq Umar.

Umar has consistently proven to be a deadly poacher for Almeria since he arrived in 2020. The Super Eagles star was on fire last season, scoring 20 goals and assisting seven in 38 games. Unfortunately, his performances were not enough to land Almeria a Laliga promotion ticket.

Nonetheless, the former Roma man has continued with his outstanding performances this season. Umar has found the net 13 times and has nine assists in 24 appearances for the Rojiblancos, helping his side to second position on the log, one point behind leader Eibar.

His performances have not gone unnoticed, as Sevilla and Barcelona have been reported to be keeping tabs on the Nigerian star.

Almeria are aware of this, and they are looking to juice out every penny from his sale. According to BBC Hausa, Almeria have told Sevilla to pay 60million euros for Umar.

Almeria could choose to hold out for a mega fee, as Umar has three years on his contract.
