The Super Eagles star put up a five-star star performance to help the Buccaneers claim their first three points of the Confederations Cup

Orlando Pirates fans have taken to social media to shower praises on Nigerian defender Olisa Ndah for his outstanding performance in their 2-0 victory over JS Saoura in the CAF Confederations Cup.

The Super Eagles star just joined the former South African champions last summer from Akwa United. But the 24-year-old has quickly settled in forming an important part of the Orlando Pirates backline.

The Buccaneers entertained their Algerian counterparts JS Saoura in their opening fixture of this season’s CAF Confederations Cup. Goals in both halves from Happy Jele and Bandile Shandu gave Orlando Pirates the victory.

Super Eagles star Ndah made his continental debut for Pirates and he was never found wanting, as he ran the show from defence, putting up a stealth performance to prevent the Algerians from scoring. He had four clearances, 34 touches and a 72 percent pass accuracy. He also won two of his five duels.

After the game, Pirates fans took to social media to wax lyrical about their star centre-back.

Whoever brought Olisa Ndah to Orlando Pirates deserves an applause

Olisah Ndah is probably the best centre back Pirates have had in the last five years – solid.

@TheOddSolace I watched Olisa Ndah play for Pirates against JS Saoura in the CAF Confederations Cup yesterday. That boy should be starting for Super Eagles. Way way better than Troost Ekong or any other CB we have.

Pirates has never has a solid CB like ndah in their history since Sangweni
