The former Paris Saint Germain star is one of the most skilful players the game has ever seen, and that has earned him praises from a fellow former footballer
Former Aston Villa forward Gabriel Agbonlahor has called ex-Super Eagles captain Austin Jay-Jay Okocha a legend of the game.
Okocha is one of the greatest players from the African continent and one of the most talented players to play the beautiful game.
The former Bolton Wanderers midfielder was known for his dribbling skills, step-overs, magic and set-piece quality on the ball during his playing days.
Agbonlahor played against Okocha in the Premier League, and the former England international has showered praises on the Nigerian, saying he is a legend.
Speaking in his Talksport breakfast program with Ally McCoist, the ex-Aston Villa striker praised Okocha for what he did at both club and international football.
“Jay-Jay, it’s Gabby here, I just wanna say you are a legend,” Agbonlahor said on his show.
“Obviously myself, half-Nigerian, my dad Nigerian, just wanna say everyone thinks you are a legend.”
“What you’ve done for the country, what you’ve done in the Premier League, so thank you for that,” Agbonlahor concluded.
The 35-year-old is not the only former footballer to have praised Okocha. Brazil legend Ronaldinho once revealed Okocha is among the players he has always admired, while Peter Crouch also said he could watch the Nigerian all day.
Truly you are.
