Finidi had revealed in his press conference that he was at the club to win, and that was what he did in his first match in charge.

Finidi George was a fantastic player in his playing days at Ajax FC and others and in the Super Eagles. He was all that a number 7 needed to be back then. In his time and with the collaboration of his teammates in the Super Eagles before the World Cup in the United States of America, Nigeria was ranked number 5 in FIFA ranking, the best by any African team. It is hoped that Finidi G will replicate his football expertise and experience in his Enyimba FC where he is presently the Coach.
