The Garnets have already signed Joel Obi on a one-year deal, but they are not done in the transfer market as they prepare for life in the top-flight
Salernitana are closing in on the signing of Super Eagles star Simy Nwankwo from Crotone. According to Di Marzio, talks between the two clubs are heading in the right direction.
The 29-year-old is expected to leave Crotone this summer after scoring 20 league goals in the Italian Serie A last season- although it was not enough to save the Pythagoreans.
Simy is currently valued at around eight million euros, and Crotone wants a figure in that region to part away with their leading striker.
Salernitana are still way off Crotone’s mark, but talks are progressing between the two parties. Simy has also been linked with a move to Real Mallorca, who are looking for striking reinforcements ahead of their return to the Spanish top-flight.
However, it appears they will miss out on Simy, with Salernitana now close to agreeing a deal with the Nigerian international.
