The Dutch giants have added more firepower to their attack by bringing in a Nigerian international just before the close of the transfer window
Feyenoord have completed the signing of Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers on a season-long loan deal from Genk.
A statement on the Dutch Club’s website read: Feyenoord brings Cyriel Dessers back to the Netherlands. The 26-year-old attacker is rented from KRC Genk for the rest of the season.

Dessers will hope to rediscover his form in a league where he made his name. The Belgium-born Nigerian striker joined Genk from Heracles last summer after finishing as the joint-top scorer of the 2019/2020 Eredivisie campaign with 15 goals.
However, he could not replicate the feat with the Belgian side last season. Dessers found himself overshadowed by his international compatriot Paul Onuachu, who finished as the Belgian top-flight top scorer last season with 33 goals for Genk.
Although he has started this season on a promising note with one goal and two assists in six games, Genk’s purchase of Ike Ugbo has pushed Dessers down the pecking order.
The 26-year-old will now hope he can rediscover his scoring touch with De club aan de Maas in the Dutch top-flight.
Dessers has just one cap for Nigeria, but a decent spell in Holland could see him back in Gernot Rohr’s plans.
