Aribo off the mark as Rangers bounce back

The 24-year-old opened his account for the season as Steven Gerrard's men bounced back from the disappointment of the loss to Dundee United with a win at Victoria Park

Super Eagles star Joe Aribo was on target as Rangers secured a 4-2 win over Ross County in the Scottish Premiership encounter between the two sides at Victoria Park.

Rangers last league match was two weeks ago when they lost their unbeaten record following a 1-0 loss to Dundee United.

They also crashed out of the UEFA Champions League during that period, losing 2-1 to Malmo in both legs of their third-round qualifying.

However, they beat Dunfermline Athletic 5-0 in their League Cup clash last weekend. They've now backed up that result with another victory on Sunday afternoon, with Aribo playing a key role.

The Super Eagles star opened the scoring for the away side in the 15th minute with a beautiful curler following a ball from Alfredo Morelos.

Aribo continued to show his quality from the left side of the pitch, creating one big chance in the 83 minutes he played.

Connor Goldson's header doubled Rangers lead four minutes after Aribo had opened the scoring. Harry Clarke pulled one back for Ross County five minutes before half-time to give the home side some hope.

However, Morelos restored the away side's two-goal lead in the 56th minute. Ross County reduced the deficit again through Jordan White's strike in the 77th minute.

But Scott Arfield's strike six minutes from time killed all hopes of a possible comeback and sealed the three points for Gerrard's men.
