In a statement on their official website, the club said: “Amiens SC are happy to announce the arrival of the Nigerian striker!
“Toluwalase Emmanuel Arokodare, known as “Tolu”, played last season at FC Cologne in the Bundesliga where he was on loan from FC Valmiera (Latvia).
“The 20-year-old now joins Amiens SC on a two-season purchase option loan and will wear number 9.
“Welcome to Amiens Tolu!”
Tolu will be joining compatriot Stephen Odey at Amiens. Odey, on loan from Belgian side Genk, scored six goals for Amiens last season as the LFP Slayers finished 10th on the Ligue 2 table.
The youngster will hope his input can help Amiens beat the odds and gain promotion to Ligue 1 during his stay at the club.
It will also be the best time to put behind him a disappointing year with Bundesliga side Cologne.
The former Golden Eaglets star flopped in Germany, where he failed to find the back of the net in 12 league games forcing the club to waive their option to keep him permanently after his loan spell.
