The Super Eagles midfielder starred as Steven Gerrard’s men continued their unbeaten start to the Scottish top-flight season
Joe Aribo was once again brilliant for Rangers as the Gers recorded a comprehensive 3-0 victory over St. Johnstone in their Scottish Premiership clash at McDiarmid Park.
Aribo was on for the entire duration as Steven Gerrard sealed a 6-0 aggregate victory over their host, having beaten them 3-0 earlier in the season at the Ibrox.
Rangers started on the front foot, and they took the lead in the 24th minute courtesy of a strike from Kemar Roofe, who finished off a rebound from Ianis Hagi shot.
The Gers then doubled their lead seven minutes later with Aribo playing a direct role. The former Charlton midfielder played a perfect pass into Glen Kamara’s path, who fired into the bottom corner.
Although he didn’t score, Aribo was brilliant all through, attempting three key passes, creating one big chance while he also had a 90% pass accuracy.
It was game over two minutes after the break as Ianis Hagi made it three, finishing off a shot from Roofe that was initially saved.
Rangers maintain their 16 point lead over rivals Celtic with the win, although Gerrard’s men have played three games more.
