The one-cap Nigeria international could be terrorising Bundesliga defences next season if the newly promoted outfit can agree with the Fortuna Liga giants
VfB Stuttgart, who made an instant return to the German Bundesliga a year after they were relegated, have reportedly identified Slavia Prague’s forward Peter Olayinka as one of the attacking options to help them retain their elite status next season.
Olayinka scored four goals and created four assists in 19 league matches to help inspire Slavia Prague to the 2019-20 Fortuna Liga title, the club’s 20th title overall, its third in the past four years, and its sixth since the Czech league inception in 1993.
It’s the 24-year-old’s second league win for Slavia since joining from KAA Gent two years for N1.5 billion (€3.20 million).
The flying forward already has in his trophy cabinet league titles wins in Albania and Northern Cyprus.
The highlights of Olayinka’s season, however, arrived in the UEFA Champions League group stage, where he scored a fantastic goal against Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan before bruising Barcelona’s defenders at Camp Nou.
Slavia are aware of the interests in their Nigerian import and have slammed a hefty transfer fee of N4.5 billion (€10 million) on the forward, according to a report by the Czech newspaper “Blesk” as per Transfermarkt.
The Super Eagles star is under contract with Slavia until the summer of 2022, with the Czech champions not under any financial pressure to sell.
